I was lucky enough to see Radiohead in Tampa on Tuesday at a sold out show. They ROCK. Thom Yorke ROCKS. They are simply PHENOMENAL. Here's some footage of them, taken by someone quite near the stage, playing 15 Step....

I get to see them again this year in Chicago at the Lollapalooza music festival. I'll have most definitely learned all the words to all the songs on their new album, In Rainbows, by that time. I'm really hoping to hear some Wolf At The Door (nothing like a little Flan in the Face)...so, Thom Yorke, if you are reading this...please work it into the playlist for me! Thanks man, much appreciated! ;)

I dun running...

Think back (way back for some of us ;) - do you remember those GI Joe Public Service Announcements that used to run during commercial breaks in between Saturday morning cartoons. The ones that told you not to touch downed power lines or play on frozen lakes (real applicable here in FL) or cook on the stove when your parents weren't at home. Well, I vaguely do and apparently some other folks out there CLEARLY do. In fact, they were so moved by them that they felt the need to *edit* them a bit, perhaps for a more present day application. Heh. I find them disturbing, yet hysterical nonetheless (what with the ridiculously crude language and the bizarre still face zoom-ins).

If you search on youtube for 'gi joe psa', you'll find a bunch more (maybe you'll even find your childhood favorite). My faves are Give Him the Stick, Cosby Kids Down to the River, and Blanco Nino. There's nothing like teaming nostalgia with highly inappropriate voice overs. ;)
